Taco bake is an elevated twist on your traditional taco night. You combine all the elements you normally would have with your tacos and blend them into a casserole filled with nacho cheese.
Preheat the oven to 375°F and spray a 9 x 13 baking pan withnonstick spray.
Add the ground beef and onion to a large skillet over mediumheat. Using a wooden spoon, break the meat into bite-sized pieces and cookuntil browned. Drain the excess grease. Stir in the taco seasoning and tomatosauce. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Lay out two tortillas in the baking pan. Spread half of the ground beef mixture onto the tortillas. Top the beef mixture with another two tortillas. Spread the nacho cheese and the remaining beef mixture over the top. Place the final two tortillas on top. Spread the taco sauce over the tortillas and sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
Top the taco bake with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, andenjoy.
