Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13 baking pan.
Spread the strawberry pie filling into the baking pan in an even layer. Sprinkle the cake mix over the top of the filling. Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix in an even layer.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown.
Serve with a scoop of strawberry ice cream.
Notes
To prevent your cake from developing dry spots, check on it halfway through the baking time and add a pad of butter or spray a little olive oil onto the dry areas to provide moisture.
