Total Time:5 minutes

Equipment

  • Plate
  • Highball glass

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • Lime wedges
  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 5 oz Topo Chico

Instructions

  • Pour salt onto a plate. Rub a lime wedge on the rim of a highball glass. Dip the wet edge into the salt. Fill the glass with ice.
  • Pour the tequila and lime juice into the glass, then top it off with Topo Chico.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge, and enjoy.

Notes

You can make this directly in the Topo Chico bottle. Rim the bottle with salt after rubbing it with lime, sip a little to make space, then pour in tequila and lime juice.
A citrus juicer works best to get the most juice from your limes. Roll the lime on a hard surface and use it at room temperature for easier juicing.
Bottled lime juice can be used, but fresh juice gives much better flavor.
For a different rim, try sugar or Tajin instead of salt.
