Ingredients

  • 1 cup ultra-filtered whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a small pot over medium-high heat, whisk together the milk, protein powder, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer and remove it from the heat.
  • Transfer the hot chocolate into a cup and top with your whipped cream.

  • Avoid overheating the milk. Bring it just to a simmer, then remove from the heat and stir constantly to prevent burning or a gritty texture.
