Homemade Limeade is the ideal refreshing drink for summer. Fresh lime wedges are muddled with just the right amount of sweetness, then shaken with cold water and ice until they reach the perfect frosty consistency.
Add the lime wedges and sugar to a 32-ounce container. Muddle them together until the limes release their juice and soften.
Pour in the water and add ice until the container is nearly full.
Secure the lid and shake well until everything is fully combined.
Use a paring knife to cut an X into the top of the lid, then insert a straw for easy sipping.
Notes
If you don’t have a 32-ounce deli container, no worries! You can use any type of container you have on hand and simply pour it into a glass filled with ice.If your limes are really small or don't seem to have much juice, you can use two whole limes instead of one and a half.
