This chipped beef dip is a creamy, savory appetizer made with dried beef and simple ingredients. It’s an easy, crowd pleasing dip that’s perfect for parties and game day.
Add the cream cheese and sour cream to your mixer’s bowl and blend on medium speed until they are thoroughly combined. Mix in the chopped beef, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder.
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and enjoy with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
• Smoked beef slices are typically found in the refrigerated deli or packaged meat section of most grocery stores. I used Buddig, but any similar brand will work.• This dip can be served hot by transferring the mixture to a baking dish and baking at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly. For a traditional touch, sprinkle chopped pecans over the top before baking.• The dip can be made ahead, but chilling will cause it to firm up and take on a cheese ball like texture. Let it sit at room temperature before serving so it softens back up. Avoid repeatedly moving it between cold and warm temperatures for best texture and quality.• For extra heat, stir in red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, chopped pickled jalapeños, or horseradish. Start small and adjust to taste so the heat does not overpower the dip.
