Take your classic margarita up a notch with this Champagne Margarita. Light, bubbly, and refreshing, it’s perfect for celebrations, brunch, or any excuse to pop a cork.
Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave, and edible glitter to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
Rub the lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into sugar on a plate.
Strain the chilled mixture into the glass. Top your margarita with champagne and enjoy.
Notes
Edible glitter can be found on Amazon or at Walmart. Gold or green work best since they match the look of champagne and margaritas.
Use champagne flutes, coupe glasses, margarita glasses, rocks glasses, or old-fashioned glasses.
You can change the flavor of the margarita before topping it with champagne. Try strawberry, pineapple, or mango.
Prepare the margarita portion up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add champagne just before serving.
