Total Time:2 minutes

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Glass
  • Plate

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz agave syrup
  • Edible glitter optional
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 2 tablespoons coarse sugar
  • 2 oz champagne

Instructions

  • Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, agave, and edible glitter to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
  • Rub the lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip the rim into sugar on a plate.
  • Strain the chilled mixture into the glass. Top your margarita with champagne and enjoy.

Notes

  • Edible glitter can be found on Amazon or at Walmart. Gold or green work best since they match the look of champagne and margaritas.
  • Use champagne flutes, coupe glasses, margarita glasses, rocks glasses, or old-fashioned glasses.
  • You can change the flavor of the margarita before topping it with champagne. Try strawberry, pineapple, or mango.
  • Prepare the margarita portion up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add champagne just before serving.
