Equipment

  • Casserole pan
  • Nonstick spray
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Meat mallet or rolling pin
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1 5-ounce bag croutons

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a casserole pan with nonstick spray.
  • Slice your chicken into strips. Combine the chicken slices and Caesar dressing in the casserole pan in an even layer.
  • Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, smash the croutons into crumbs. Sprinkle the crumbs on top of the chicken mixture.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Notes

  • Add Parmesan cheese toward the end of baking if you want it melty or slightly crispy, just broil for 1–3 minutes, watching carefully.
  • You can cook this in a crockpot (4–6 hours on low or 2–3 on high), but the crouton topping will be soft, not crisp.
  • Either creamy or traditional Caesar dressing works, use your personal preference.
  • For a crispier crumb topping, broil it for 1–3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye so it doesn't burn.
