Equipment
Casserole pan
Nonstick spray
Knife
Cutting board
Meat mallet or rolling pin
Meat thermometer
Ingredients
1 1/2 to 2
pounds
boneless skinless chicken breast
1
cup
Caesar dressing
1
5-ounce bag croutons
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a casserole pan with nonstick spray.
Slice your chicken into strips. Combine the chicken slices and Caesar dressing in the casserole pan in an even layer.
Using a meat mallet or rolling pin, smash the croutons into crumbs. Sprinkle the crumbs on top of the chicken mixture.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Notes
Add Parmesan cheese toward the end of baking if you want it melty or slightly crispy, just broil for 1–3 minutes, watching carefully.
You can cook this in a crockpot (4–6 hours on low or 2–3 on high), but the crouton topping will be soft, not crisp.
Either creamy or traditional Caesar dressing works, use your personal preference.
For a crispier crumb topping, broil it for 1–3 minutes at the end, keeping a close eye so it doesn't burn.
