Forget those store-bought neon mixes that taste like sugar and regret. This beauty comes together with just a few simple ingredients and somehow tastes like you actually planned your life out this week. If you’re already popping bottles for these Champagne Margaritas, don’t stop there. My Bourbon Smash is the bold, mood-lifting cousin that keeps the party going, and the Ranch Water Cocktail or Apple Spritz are perfect for those “I want a drink but still have things to do” kind of days. And listen, every good drink deserves a snack, so grab some Rotel Tacos or Naan Taco Pizza and call it dinner. No judgment here.

How do you serve this? What do I serve with this recipe?

  • I like to pair my drink with Tater Tot Nachos, but it's also good with finger foods at social gatherings.

FAQs (Because Life’s Too Busy for Guesswork)

What kind of glass should I use?

There are several good options to choose from, including champagne flutes, coupe glasses, margarita glasses, rocks glasses, and old-fashioned glasses.

Can I change the flavor of the margarita?

Yes, if you want to change the margarita's flavor and then top it with champagne, you can. There are many options: strawberry, pineapple, mango, and more. Choose your favorite and enjoy.

Can this be made ahead?

You can prepare the margarita portion of the drink up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate it until ready to serve. Save the champagne to top with at the time of serving.

Where can I find edible glitter? Is there a best color to use for this?

I found mine on Amazon, and I know it's also available in Walmart stores. You can pick any glitter you prefer, but remember that it will tint the entire drink with its color. I believe gold or green look the best, since champagne is usually golden and a margarita is typically green.

What are substitutions that I can make?

  • What are the substitutions that I can make?
  • Tequila – There are light and dark varieties; either will work in this recipe, though each will add a different flavor.
  • Lime juice – It's best to use fresh lime juice if possible. Concentrated lime juice can be used, but it might be more tart and bitter.
  • Agave syrup – Honey would be another option.
  • Coarse salt – Sugar is an alternative option for rimming your glass if you want a sweeter option.

How should I store my leftovers?

  • Champagne Margarita should be stored separately. The margarita part can be refrigerated for 24-48 hours. The champagne will begin to lose its bubbles after being opened and doesn’t store well.
