Hi, I’m Stephanie!
Welcome to The Chaotic Table, where the schedule is packed, somebody always has practice, and dinner still makes it to the table… most nights, anyway!
If you’ve ever stood in front of the fridge at 5:45 with a kid yelling “I’m starving!” and a game at 7, you are SO in the right place. This blog exists to take “what’s for dinner?” off your plate (see what I did there?) with easy, family-friendly meals your crew will actually eat. Not just mac and cheese and chicken nuggets on repeat!
So who am I and why should you trust me in your kitchen?
I went to the Culinary Institute of America and earned my degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. I fully planned on opening a bakery… and then life happened! My husband spent about 20 years in the Marine Corps, so we moved all over the country, and I put the bakery dream on hold to raise our two kids.
During that time I fell in love with food photography. For 13 years I developed and photographed recipes for other food bloggers, so I know a recipe that works from one that just looks pretty on Pinterest. Now we’re settled in East Tennessee, and I’m finally sharing my own.
These days you’ll find me in the bleachers, behind a camera, leading my daughter’s Girl Scout troop, or planning our next Disney trip. It’s loud, it’s messy, and I wouldn’t trade it.
What you’ll find here
- Feed My Athlete: filling, protein-packed meals for the nights between practices and games
- Slow Cooker: dump it, go to practice, come home to dinner. My favorite kind of cooking!
- Taco Tuesday: because taco night deserves an upgrade
- Desserts and Drinks: weekend baking, fun treats, and the occasional dirty soda (no judgment!)
Not sure where to start? Try my Slow Cooker Steak and Potatoes (over 10 million of you have watched me make it!), Slow Cooker Chicken Drumsticks, Crockpot Tortellini, or White Chocolate Raspberry Cookies.
Let’s stay friends!
Sign up for my newsletter below and get a free monthly dinner plan, because planning is half the battle.
You can also find me cooking (and talking way too much) on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s embrace the chaos and get dinner on the table!
